I am a qualified counsellor and offer you a safe and confidential space that allows you to explore any concerns that you might have and how to move forward into a happier and more fulfilled life.
I see everyone as an individual and put my whole attention onto the person rather than the problem. I believe that everyone has the ability to heal and discover their full potential. My role is to facilitate this process.
About me and my practice
I specialise in domestic abuse and trauma. I have experience and knowledge of working with individuals who have experienced or are experiencing domestic abuse, sexual violence and trauma and dissociation.
I offer counselling for many other difficulties that may affect someones life, whether this is anxiety, depression, significant life challenges, bereavement, bullying, burn out or being stuck in emotional or behaviour patterns you want to change for a better life.
I offer a safe, friendly and non judgmental space for us to explore any difficulties you might be experiencing.
I offer counselling to individuals.
I work trauma informed.
I offer counselling to adults and young people from the age of 14 years.
I am LBTQ friendly.
I offer counselling in English and German.
I offer face to face, online and telephone counselling.
I offer a free initial 30 minute consultation which will enable you to decide if counselling is for you and if I am the right person for you. I understand how daunting it can be to make the first step to pick up the phone or to see a stranger with whom you might decide to share some intimate feelings and thoughts. Therefore it is even more important that you find out if I am the right person for you. You will have time to ask me questions and I can tell you more about confidentiality and the way I work. This will hopefully help you to decide if you wish to continue.
Experience
I got my Level 4 Diploma in Counselling Children and Adolescents in 2006.
I was then working for domestic abuse services for more than 10 years, supporting women and men who have been in unhealthy and abusive relationships and managing services. I have been counselling in my own private practice for the last 7 years. I have extensive experience in counselling clients who have been through abuse in their childhood and as an adult in interpersonal relationships.
I understand the impact of trauma on a person and strategies how to recover from trauma.
